“Graft Mage” is now available in the Strange Wars anthology

My short story “Graft Mage” has been reprinted (with some revisions) in the speculative war fiction anthology Strange Wars. “Graft Mage” is one of my favourite pieces I’ve written: a tale of love on the battlefield with space-warping mages, meditations on death, and cryptography. The anthology is available in print and ebook, with the latter being free for a limited time, so get it while you can.

Empty Appendages

I have a new story out in Beneath Ceaseless Skies! “Empty Appendages” is a science-fantasy story about colonisation and cognitive dissonance. It has some grotesque imagery, existential horror and a lush setting based on my home country of south-eastern Australia. The story follows Captain Nicolas Harwen, who has just arrived on an uncharted shore with his crew. But something very strange is going on inside Harwen’s mind…

I’m really proud of this one so I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. It’s free to read right now at Beneath Ceaseless Skies.
